We recently upgraded our SharePoint instance from 2010 to 2013. One of our site's included a form with third-party components (Bamboo). These fields refused to render.
I first observed that the list was using default NewForm/EditForm.aspx. So, I created a new form. The new form errors out, but I am provided with a correlation ID.
Upon looking it up, I see one entry for "Cannot find site lookup info for request. Uri http://oldsite/". Well, why is the oldsite there?
It appears that it's necessary to retain a reference to the oldsite in the alternate mappings for posterity. Although, we've eliminated most references, it seems impossible to change references for fields with absolute URLs pointing to the old site.
In order to strip out columns from lists, you may still need to retain that data. Feel free to use the following sample code.Read More >
When attempting to recreate a list using the template method, I found that the template did not populate.Read More >
Sometimes you need a more dynamic means of changing things on a form in SharePoint. Sometimes you need to create an interface that is less "SharePoint-y". Using REST in conjunction with a library like AngularJS might be the route to go in these situations.Read More >
